What is the difference between CSW, CS-W, and CS/W?
Well .. I couldn't find any difference between CSW, CS-W, and CS/W.
- CSW is defined as Catalogue Services for the Web in the OpenGIS Catalogue Service Implementation Specification v. 2.0.2 OGC standards documentation.
- CS-W appears to be used often in texts related to the ebRIM (ebXML Registry Information Model) profile implementation of CSW such as OGC Cataloguing of ISO Metadata (CIM) using the ebRIM profile of CS-W (0.1.7). However, the same document defines CSW as Catalogue Service for the Web under the "5.1 Abbreviated terms" section but does not list CS-W.
- CS/W shows mostly up in few presentations and web pages. This could be just a typo or some form of self expression ;)
Is there anybody who would like to shed some light on this?
